Our philosophy
Noise problems are most effectively addressed at the source.
Newer machines and production plants generally make less noise than older ones. Yet we see new machines every day that fall far short of requirements on noise limits and a good working environment when it comes to noise in the workplace.
The quest for efficiency is creating increasingly loud and complex machinery that, despite new technologies, contributes to unacceptable noise levels.
The solution is rarely hearing protection and randomly fitted acoustic tiles. Noise problems are most effectively addressed at the source.
This is best done by insulating the noise source in an effective machine enclosure. If this is not possible, screen walls, noise walls, control rooms, etc. can be installed to provide staff with a safe and comfortable environment.
Keep a focus on noise when designing new machinery, process equipment and robotic solutions.

Enclosing noisy production plants, machines and robots is an effective and economical way to reduce noise.
Skov Industri has 35 years of experience, and we have installed over 1,000 machine enclosures, including large complete production plants, large and small machines, robots, ventilation, pumps, etc., and in virtually all private and public industries.
The modular MATADOR noise reduction system is the most flexible on the market, with high quality down to the last detail, and it is manufactured and powder coated in our 3,300 m2 factory on Funen.
With its unique and refined clip system, the MATADOR wall construction ensures 100% recyclability when converting noise and machine enclosures.
Requirements for function, user-friendliness and servicing of the machine are ensured by an extensive accessory programme of doors, sluices, gates, etc. In addition, the powder-coated surface is extremely easy to clean.

Based on our own or recognised sound measurements with frequency analysis, we can not only offer an optimal solution to your noise problems but also provide a guarantee in advance of the result we will be able to achieve with the proposed solution.

Noise limits
There are limits to noise
No one should be exposed to noise levels above 85 dB(A) for 8 hours. If the noise varies, an average is
calculated, with strong levels counting particularly heavily.
Dangerous noise
An average over 8 hours is called noise exposure. If there are loud impact sounds in the noise, add 5 dB(A) to the measurement result. For example, impact sounds from punching machines or similar that occur more than once per minute and exceed 115 dB.
All noise must be muffled
Unnecessary noise pollution in the workplace must be avoided.
This means that noise below the limit value must also be attenuated if this can be done with reasonable
and generally recognised measures.

The table above shows examples of how long you may be exposed to different noise levels daily when the
noise limit of 85 dB(A) must be complied with.
During the rest of the working day, no significant noise must be present.

Technical characteristics, approvals & sound data, etc.
All steel components for MATADOR steel partitions are phosphated and powder coated. This surface treatment ensures that they effectively resist the influences of the surrounding environment, and at the same time are extremely easy to clean.
Powder coating is carried out in-house using colours according to the RAL scale. This is done with a film thickness of min. 70 my and with a gloss (60 degrees) 75 +/-5. There is adhesion (DIN53151 – 2mm) Gt 0.
When we apply this coating, the walls are suitable for use in environments with corrosion class 3 (DS412). If the requirements for corrosion protection are higher, we can meet them by additional measures.
MATADOR walls are available in several standard colours but can be supplied in virtually any RAL colour at extra cost.
MATADOR walls have a modular structure.
The cassettes have a thickness of 1.25 mm with a width of 900 mm and a height of 1035 mm (or 517.5 mm). These measurements apply to both wall cassettes, windows and doors.
By using standard dimensions and a unique clip system, we can quickly and economically make changes or replace components that have been damaged.
By using the same components for all wall types and for both high and low walls, we ensure 100% recycling when rebuilding.
MATADOR walls can be used as partitions up to 9 m high.
60 mm single sheet wall without insulation for physical separation.
60 mm double sheet wall with insulation, for general room separation or high-efficiency noise reduction.
150 mm double post construction with insulation, for extreme noise reduction or as fire-resistant BS-60 separation.
The walls can be made with sound absorbers to reduce reverberation time and regulate room acoustics.
MATADOR walls are available with corridor doors, sliding doors, double doors, loading gates, sound locks, etc. These are delivered either in standard execution or adapted to the actual task.
Both assembly and disassembly are made easy with the unique and patented clip solution.
The powder coating is done in our own plant with colours according to the RAL scale. Here you see our standard colours, but almost all RAL colours are possible.
Many years of practical experience in noise reduction are the foundation for effective and functional solutions to noise problems at companies. Skov Industri offers individual total solutions, primarily based on self-produced MATADOR walls and MATADOR wall partitions.

As a result, they are sustainable, which is good for both the customer’s economy and the environment.
Wall modules can be replaced with, e.g. windows, doors, gates, locks etc., i.e. high flexibility when changes
in needs arise.
We don’t leave a mess when we assemble or disassemble, so production can often carry on running at the same time.
Our highly experienced fitters build in approximately half the time compared to other wall types.
