Smith Pallet Racks
We are happy to solve specific tasks with Smith Storage Racks. In our own production, we manufacture special solutions with standard components, providing total solutions with optimal results.
Skov Industri produces Smith pallet racks, also for large loads.
All ladders are delivered pre-assembled with base plates, which saves time during assembly and assures you that your pallet racking is correctly assembled.
The support beams in Smith Pallet Racks are made of strong IPE profiles, which are fitted with a safety lock – the greater the load, the better the locking. A steel split is installed to further secure the beams to ensure that the beams are not lifted off the ladders under any conditions.
Even at very high loads, IPE beams are used with minimal height – this means optimal use of pallet space and high load capacity.

- The beams and ladders are iron phosphated and powder coated, providing the best corrosion protection and durability.

Skov Industri produces a steel rack system consisting of a basic construction with a large range of accessories. This structure makes the system one of the most flexible on the market.
The modular design makes it possible to optimally use the room’s dimensions and thus reduce the effective shelf square metre cost, e.g. all Smith Steel Shelving can be built on several floors. The steel racks can in most cases be used to support inserted levels without any other form of support.
Changes in needs are easily and efficiently solved by changing the composition of the existing structure or by adding new units.
The extensive range of accessories helps make the steel shelving system very efficient and helps keep the necessary order, providing overview.

Each shelving solution can be sized according to capacity, combination and accessory requirements. The shelves can be combined in countless ways. Shelving standard height: 2000 and 2500 mm, depth: 330, 400, 500, 750, 800, 1000 mm, length: made up of an initial bay of 1000 mm and additional bays of 1040 mm or 2040 mm.
All shelving is supplied as single shelving. The side walls are available open, with grilles, or with boards.
The shelves can be fitted with back panels with grilles or boards.
All units are iron phosphated and powder coated in blue and grey colours.

Skov Industri produces Smith Pallet Rack, which is among the most preferred on the market.
- Construction and choice of materials ensure optimum strength and safety.
- Further development and product optimisation are continuously carried out with great regard to the continued supplementary safety for older generations.
- All ladders are delivered pre-assembled with base plates, which saves time during assembly and assures you that your pallet racking is correctly assembled.
- Optimal security at the warehouse is built from the ground up. Safe anchoring of pallet racks to the floor with expansion bolts.
- Only use Smith Pallet Racks for the purpose for which they are intended.
- Never overload your pallet racks.
- A beam may have a maximum deflection of 1/200 of its length.
- For example, a beam with a length of 2800 mm may have a maximum deflection of 14 mm.
- The supporting beams in Smith Pallet Racks have the least amount of deflection on the market!
- All pallet racks must be marked with load plates on each beam layer. The signs must be provided by your supplier.
- See the Smith pallet rack load chart and check that your racks are correctly labelled. Contact us if you want signs and guides.
- You are responsible for the safety of the work with your pallet racks. Take quality as a starting point, both when it comes to choosing equipment and its installation.

The following conditions must be observed
- All pallets must be whole and designed for the weight of the pallet.
- All pallets must be placed correctly on the pallets
- All beams and ladders must be provided with a facility sign
- All beams must be secured with cotter pins.
- Damaged beams, ladder legs, diagonals and traverses must be replaced immediately.
- All pallet racks must be secured to the base.
Permissible load capacity per ladder
Load capacity up to 7.5 tonnes per beam pair (IPE 140 x 1000 mm).

The rivet shelving consists of ladders and beams.
The ladders are available in depths of 500, 600, 800 and 1000 mm, and in heights of 2000, 2500 and 3000 mm.
The ladders are made of solid, edge-bent profiles for loads up to 2.5 tonnes.
The beams and ladders are iron phosphated and powder coated, providing the best corrosion protection and durability. The standard colours are Shelf Grey and Shelf Blue. However, for a surcharge, the paint can be applied in colours within the RAL colour range.

Smith safety nets are ready-made for direct mounting on Smith pallet racks without any further adjustment.
Order safety nets in ready-made modules that fit your Smith pallet rack, whether it is beam length 1000, 1900, or 2800 mm. The nets are available in heights of 1000 and 1500 mm.
Forget about cutting and wasting materials with original Smith safety nets for original Smith pallet racks.
Brackets are prepared for mounting pallet backstops. The brackets create a distance of 150 mm from the beams to the safety net. As a result, there is room for an entire pallet in depth.

The warehouse worker avoids unnecessary handling, has a good overview and can pick directly from the pallet.
Avoid unnecessary strain on the back. The Danish Working Environment Authority recommends pallet pull out shelves for better working postures. The pallet pull out shelf is easily mounted on the support beams of the pallet rack or directly on the floor.
